Project Designer
Christner Inc. is hiring a full-time Project Designer.
Job Duties:
- Act as a project designer on building centered projects and collaborates with a larger team to conceptualize, visualize, communicate and document architectural design ideas. Interpret architectural drawings by reviewing technical report including context conditions, architectural programs client’s requirements, draw rough building architectural design drawings based on preliminary data and performed analysis, such as site analysis, architectural programs, environmental analysis/simulations, sketches, calculations, specifications, etc.
- Create design concepts through working digital 2d drawings, working 3d modeling, working physical models and other visual representations that respond to client needs, budget, schedule and client feedbacks using appropriate combination of the software listed.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager to determine an appropriate workflow; precise interpretation of the concept and construction drawings; Create architectural evaluations and ensure compliance with design intend, building code and specifications by visiting job sites on behalf of architects as needed.
- Engage in detailed preparation of material and product lists, liaising with architects and contractors for cost estimation and bidding processes, facilitating the progression of project documentation and ordering processes.
Job Requirements:
Master’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban planning, or other related field. Must have Knowledge of Rhino, AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D modeling, and simulation.
