Campus plan expresses the Burroughs experience
Project Story
Burroughs’ student-centered approach to education encourages every student to reach is or her potential in academics, the arts, athletics, and activities. Creating a campus plan that more fully supports all components of student life with competitive facilities was the goal of the $30 million plan for capital investment.
Working with the Board of Trustees, Christner developed a campus master plan that adds significant new buildings, connects existing academic spaces, and links much-used facilities to new campus entrances and parking. A new campus quadrangle is situated as the central focus for campus life. The campus plan reinforces the public image of the school and reflects the timeless building design expressed in the Spanish Mission architecture of the original building.
